In Take Me Seriously, Chloe Daniels showcases young artists who face struggles with society's prejudices against their age, gender, or medium. Daniels photographed artists ages 17 to 28-years-old working in creative spaces ranging from a parents’ garage to a professional studio. Many young artists struggle to have their artwork taken seriously and to be seen as a hard working artist. Since success is often measured by external factors like income or notoriety, these early-career artists have to set those ideas aside to pursue their passions in the face of being told they can’t do it by society. Daniels shows the audience these artists to prove they deserve to have their work taken seriously.
